| GEA Review 12/5/2007
If you live in the NY/NJ/CT metro area and are serious about playing the
best clubs that fit you, take the time to go see Jacques.
I just went through a fitting with him and it was a great experience. We
did irons, my main concern, woods, driver and putter.
Jacques is such a nice guy, very knowledgeable and truly just loves the
game.
Each time Jacques recommendations yielded better results than what I am
presently playing. He's got all the LM gizmos, a really cool golf simulator
and a putting stroke analyzer. He steered me toward what he thought was best
in my hands, I would hit that for a while, then I would hit a bunch of
shafts I that I wanted to try and sooner or later I would end up back with
his initial suggestion.
I play over length and wanted to lower my ball flight. We ended up with
aerotech stiff pured although I was so tempted to go back to DGS300 but the
difference was 10 yards and better dispersion with the aerotech and a lot
less weight to heff around. :-)
I also hit the FTi, which I tried and hated this past summer, with
different shafts and with a little tweak was pretty happy with the results I
started to get towards the end.
I am now waiting for my clubs back with the new shafts and probably plan
to revisit with him in the spring and pursue my driver a little more.
Take the time and go see him. At worst you hit a few hundred balls into a
cool simulator but reality is you will probably walk away with a better
fitting game.

Hi Jacques,
Well, work was way too busy for me to be able to
test out the MP-60 irons before leaving for my
trip, so my first round with them was in
Ireland. The trip was a blast, and the irons
are great. My game was up and down, but that
was mostly driving. The clubs feel great.
Here are some pics from the trip:
1. Ballybunion Cashen. Easily the hardest
course we played. Steep dunes, tall grass, and
very few safe places to hit. Even the caddies
think it's too difficult. I played it 2.5
times, and it kicked my butt each time.
2. Ballybunion Old. I played much, much
better. The picture is of hole #15, a 197-yard
par-3 that I almost aced. Lipped out the tee
shot for what would have been my first. (Yes, I
made the putt).
3. Old Head. We played this course twice --
the 2nd time was on Sunday of the British Open.
We played 18, then hung out in the clubhouse
pub, drinking and watching a restaurant full of
Irishmen cheer Harrington on. A great way to
end the trip.
Incidentally, I highly recommend Ireland. Some
great courses, and wonderful hospitality. You
did a great job on the irons -- thanks! Now I
just have to get rid of the low punch shot habit
I developed over there, as I'm not playing into
30mph winds anymore (for a while).
Best regards,
Steve C.

The new clubs are terrific. The reshafting of my
driver is making a difference as I saw a couple of
long par 4s where i was in position to reach the
green with my second shot. I also like the hybrids
and have hit the 5H @ 175. The gap wedge has become
a favorite as is the 5W.
Thanks,

Jacques,
I had a terrific time at my fitting session
yesterday. What a piece of technology your new
simulator is! Seeing my launch angle and
dispersion was a lot more informative than
simply hitting into a net. I'm sure it also
caused me to swing the clubs more similar to how
I would on the course so allowed a more accurate
fitting. I'm looking forward to getting my new
Wishon fairway woods and Mizuno driver and
seeing the improvement in my long game.
Thanks for letting me play a few holes at Pebble
Beach. Seeing it on TV doesn't do the course
justice... I was surprised at how much hidden
danger there was on several of the holes and how
tight those holes were.
Once again, thanks for the expert club fitting.

First Time Club
Champion!)
Jacques,
Just wanted to let you know
the puring of the shafts has made a tremendous
difference this for me. It gave me the ability
to be extremely accurate with my tee to green
game, and around the green I had more control
and feel. When you miss a shot, my misses are
not as bad as they were in the past. I noticed
if I missed a shot I was still playing the hole
unlike with my non-pured clubs, I could be OB or
in the next fairway. As a result, I won my Club
Champoionship this year. I went from a 7.0 index
a the start of the year and finish with a 4.5. I
had more rounds in the seventies this year than
I did in my whole life. If the pros have it and
know they need it, it will make a tremendous
difference in an amateur's game. It could be a
difference of 3-7 shots per round depending upon
the level of player you are. I cannot imagine
not playing another round without my clubs pured.
Thank you for making me aware
of this. To all players, this is PURING NOT
SPINING!!!!!!! IF YOU DO NOT SEE THE "SST PURE"
LOGO ON THE SHAFT, IT IS NOT PURED. DON' LET
ANY CLUBMAKER SELL YOU ANYTHING BUT THE REAL
THING. Dr. Berger (New York City)

| Received 1/13/2004 (Another satisfied Lefty!) Jacques,
Got the opportunity to hit the range quite a bit during the nice weather between Christmas
and New Years and even snuck in a couple of holes at a small local executive course. As
promised I thought I would give you an update. The woods are excellent., Just what I
needed. The driver [Wishon 915] has a much higher trajectory and more distance than what I
was getting. The shaft [Fujikura Tour Release] seems to make all of the difference in the
world. .. The [KZG] chII 5 wood and fujikura shaft seem to be a perfect fit. I will likely
come back for the 3 wood if my current callaway 4 wood does not perform as well as in the
past or even as well as this new 5 wood once the season gets underway locally.
As far as the irons go I am really starting to like the blades. The
trajectory is excellent and much higher. Ball flight is straight to a slight draw
(usually). I also really like the quarter cord grips.

| Received 8/20/2002 (Pat's words make my day!) Jacques,
I just want you to know that I love my new clubs! With my old clubs, [too heavy,
too long, too stiff] I always felt like quitting after 12 holes. With my new clubs,
not only am I playing every day, but I'm playing 27 holes. I love golf, and my score
has gone down ten strokes! If I can improve my short game, I believe I will become a
real golfer.
Thanks,

| Received 8/6/2002 Jacques,
We were waiting on the 5th tee last night when my partner says, "You're really crisp
with your irons tonight." I then reveal to him that I am playing my new irons for the
first time.
"KZG? Never heard of 'em. Look nice, though."
I then go to the tee and smoke the 4-iron 220 down the left-center.
"Tear up the reciept", he says, "those are keepers!"
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Thanks,

| Received 6/26/2002 (I'm da man!) I
took the Ruger Driver and the Toski 5 for a test drive this
afternoon. I was literally crushing the ball with pretty good accuracy. The Ruger [High
Launch] distance was very good... consistently carrying 250. The Toski 5 [17* Miracle
Metal] was carrying about 225. I love the White Hot putter adjustment you made. The
weight, longer shaft and oversize grip are working out well. You da man, Jacques!

| Received 5/24/2001 Jacques, I
can't believe the difference in my driver (Taylor Made 360) since you reshafted it.
I have never hit drives as straight and long. Not 50% or 75% but 99% of them. Even though
I am now winning the money every weekend I will recommend you to all my fellow duffers. It
was well worth the drive to Greenwich. I will be calling to send you my 3 wood.
Thanks,
Joe C., Wallingford, CT |
| Received 11/9/2001 Jacques, what
can I say but thanks. My clubs are absolutely beautiful and have improved my game at least
4 or 5 strokes. I am beginning to make many more consistent putts. Can't recommend your
services more highly. Great work, see you soon.

| Received 10/9/2001 Jacques,
I'm so sorry for not getting back to you as soon as I fell in love with my new KZG!
Suffice it to say that, after 3 rounds, I'm comfy enough to "wail away," and the
ball goes FOREVER!
L.T. |
| Received 8/28/2001 My new KZG
[RBT 325] is by far the longest driver I've ever hit. And the 3 wood (CH-1 xs)
is easy to hit, consistent, and very very long.
Thanks for your help!

| Received 8/15/2001 Dear Jacques,
Just a note to let you know, handicap down to 18 (and trending down!) from 21 plus.
Recent results include First in both the Senior and Fifth Flight at our Club Championship
All in all, I'm happy with the [new] irons and 3 wood. The putter modification is
working great.
Thanks Again!

| Received 4/21/2001 Jacques,
Just a quick note to let you know how my new clubs worked out for me on my first time out
with them and also my first nine holes this season. I shot a 45 which is great for
me to say the least, but the best part was I hit 5 out of 7 fairways, and the only reason I
didn't hit 6 was because after hitting an average 220-230 yard drives into the wind, and
then smashing a 261 yard drive off the 8th tee,I tried to drive the green on 9 and pushed
it a little right! Needless to say I think you came up with the perfect settup for
me. Thanks again,Hit em straight,And I'll be in touch.Oh and by the way I think the
3 guys I played with today want a new driver from you!!

| Received 4/11/2001 "Dear
Jacques:
Before I even call Mike [her husband]to tell him how my first 18 went with my new clubs I
am sending this note off to you. I had the opportunity to play Baird today - alone -
with my new gear. There was a twosome of older men in front of me and a twosome of not so
old me behind me --- no one wanted to play with the woman. On the 7th hole the two old
guys let me play through because they were lost in the trees on the right just in front of
the ladies tee. I have to tell you I have spent a good deal of time in that place myself,
so, when they told me to play through I warned them that they were standing in my landing
area so they should pay attention to me. Well --- I hit that driver so far that I
surprised myself. It was wonderful not to mess up while those two were
watching!!
I have never shot under 109 there ---- today I shot 100 and it could have been better had
I not been experimenting with different clubs. I even used the 3-wood from the fairway -
something I had never been able to accomplish.
I am very pleased with my first outing and wanted to pass it along to you. I know things
will only get better."

| Received 3/29/2001 (Humorous,
but a little risque) "Yes, I've sold
my soul to my new driver. Why not? She's long. She's lovely. And she likes to be spanked.
(Don't tell my wife I said that.) I finally got the tee height worked out and BANG!! Not
sure of the length yet, but it seems to be 20 yards longer than the old Yonex. It's also
disgustingly easy to hit straight..."
